A song full of sadness, regret, pain and loss. Yet it manages to be beautiful in its own way. This song is one of my favourite Cure tracks. From its long intro through Robert Smiths voice intoning the lyrics with meaning and feeling, right through to the ending where hope has seemingly gone but there is something that just lifts you (or at least me) right at the end.
Its a very emotionally charged song and it has been on my mind as I read through the fantastic “Strangers in Paradise” books by Terry Moore. These stories have really touched even my hard old heart, making me feel as if I’m going on the journey with the characters. I will be sad to reach the end of book 6 as it has been one of the best reads I’ve had in a long time.
Pictures of you makes me think of this story and it fits, in my mind anyway, what the characters go through and how they may be feeling.
I urge you to check it out and experience how great the comic art form can be when handled correctly.
