We all have them. Tunes that smack us around the face the first time we hear them. Force us to really listen, really absorb the lyrics and melodies as one. This is one of those songs. From the beautiful guitar opening, through the meaning filled words, taking in the strings and complimenting each other perfectly. This video blends stark random images that somehow make the whole song resonate stronger. At least for me. My favourite track by my favourite band. As soon as I heard this I was a fan and that has deepened over the following years. I love the Manics.
Plus this video had me wearing white jeans for a while….it was not a good look for me!
